Let There Be A Feature Length Futurama Film In 2029 Even If The Series Stops By Then
The issue
Futurama whilst currently in it's Hulu run is looking to go back to it's cancelled state by 2029, probably forever this time based on how Matt Groening and the show's cast members have aged. Whether that happens after the second half of season 9 premieres next year or after a season 10 which we're still to hear for certain on, there should still be a feature length film for Futurama somewhere down the line, if The Simpsons can do it twice then so can Matt Groening's other show, even fellow show Bob's Burgers had one. It would be a good idea to do should Matt Groening still have stuff in mind after the show's Hulu run comes to a finish, and should there be something to do as an indicator that the show won't ever be coming back this time around, unless in the form of a spiritual successor of some sort. How such a film could turn out is that 30 years will have passed since Fry came to the future, to which point that along with the history of his time with Planet Express being celebrated, and that they get through whatever wasn't able to have been gotten through in the show's Hulu run. What's important either way is that the film is seen in theatres and not a streaming service original on Hulu, and that the film is like with The Simpsons Movie(s) rated no higher then PG-13.
But as for the remainder of the show's Hulu run, let's hope that among what we see be done in it includes the return of certain one time or two time characters outside of a cameo, there being a crossover episode with something, there being references to how Disney now owns FOX, and that we see other moments that we have been longing for with the show. With a 10th season if within the next year the show gets renewed for one, we can be in for an episode that shows what 3028 looks like without the Robot Uprising having taken place now that it despite Nixon's Head still technically winning the presidential election never happened, and we can be in for a 200th episode. But however things are with what is definitely the next series finale in particular, it this time around won't be something where characters end up dying (even if only temporary or supposed).
