Thank you for your support of "Let the Light Shine on the Temple!" The petition was a great success. It helped the Planning Commission and County Council see the vast support the community has for the Temple as well as a sensitivity to dark skies. Last week the County Council unanimously passed the Church’s application for changes to the dark skies ordinance. Passing these changes was the goal of this petition. It is notable that the Church agreed to significant changes requested by the Planning Department to accommodate lower light emissions. We look forward to your continued support of the Temple as the Church will now proceed with submitting its building permit.
