Conservative MP Arnold Viersen of Peace River Alberta recently presented a petition from 46 Canadians that asked the government to strengthen the protections of the preborn. The petition mentioned the Morgentaler case at the Supreme Court of Canada which ruled restrictions on abortion were unconstitutional because they increased health risks to women, depriving them of the right to security of the person. This case is closed. It does not need to be brought up ever again.
