Dear supporters,

this morning SportPride has submitted another request to UEFA to light all stadiums with rainbow colors. Please spread this press release. You can also share it on Twitter. UEFA has now also committed to rainbow colors on Twitter. Now let's light up the Allianz Arena in rainbow colors too!

SportPride submits new request to UEFA:
"It's Pride: free all stadiums for rainbow lighting, including the Allianz Arena"

Munich / Berlin. Today the German men's national team welcomes the Hungarian team for the UEFA match in Munich. More than 290,000 people are calling for "Let the Allianz Arena light up in rainbow colors!" Yesterday, UEFA had rejected the lighting because of the political context. Just now, Sven Kistner, member of the SportPride initiative, made a new request to UEFA via email.

"Dear UEFA,

it's Pride, many cities, stadiums, city halls, monuments and other places will shine in rainbow colors today in Germany and other parts of the world. We urge you to allow rainbow lighting for all stadiums in UEFA operation, including the Allianz Arena.

Hundreds of thousands of people from Germany and around the world want the rainbow colors today. They symbolize hope for a colorful, diverse world without hate and discrimination against gays, lesbians, trans people, inter and non-binary people.

Sven Kistner,
Member of Sportpride"

Background: UEFA justified its refusal with the political context of the previous request. Sportpride is supporting the petition "Let Allianz Arena shine in rainbow colors" with already 290,000 signatures.
