Thank you so much for signing our petition in support of California’s SB 866!!! We have a week of action coming up with 2 events that we need your help with. 

Event #1

SB866 Student Week Of Action Kickoff, 4pm PT on August 8th

Event Description: Thousands of teens across the country have lost their lives to vaccine-preventable diseases. It’s time we take action to protect our bodies and our futures. Join us at our virtual SB866 Week of Action kickoff rally on Monday, August 8th, at 4:00 pm PT to learn more about this crucial piece of legislation. Featuring many CA public officials, we will be briefing students about the importance of SB866 and providing an overview of the upcoming week of action, preparing attendees to pressure their elected officials into voting YES on SB866!  This event will feature CADEM Chairman Rusty Hicks, Senator Dr. Richard Pan, Senator Scott Wiener, Assemblywoman Buffy Wicks and more!

Event: SB866 Phonebank with Senator Wiener, 3pm PT on August 9th

Event Description: We need as many students as possible to join us as we make phone calls about SB866 to legislative offices throughout the week of August 8th! Sign up below to join CA public officials and teen activists from GENup, Teens for Vaccines, and Protect Us at our live SB866 phonebank on August 9th, 3:00 pm PT or to receive resources in your inbox to call in asynchronously. Make youth voices heard by encouraging your Assemblymember to vote yes on SB866 and empower students with autonomy over their own medical decisions! This event will feature Senator Scott Wiener.
