Hi all,

I just wanted to reach out to let you know our campaign to Save Old Freo Bridge is working. We have 3,353 people who want to save the bridge and we have the support many influential people including; former Premier, Dr Carmen Lawrence (also former Chair of the Heritage Council of WA), Chair of the Fremantle Society, Fremantle Councillors, local past and current politicians and council staff from Fremantle Council and other Western Australian constituencies, a former heritage adviser to the Fremantle Council, prominent Western Australian and Fremantle business owners, Western Australians living in the Eastern states and overseas, Western Australian cyclists; developers, doctors, artists, musicians, lawyers, engineers, urban designers, families and local children.

We have also been working with urban planners, heritage, engineering and tourism experts to develop a concept for re-purposing of the bridge. 

You're Invited!

To our launch of our pedestrian-cycle-only, Highline concept tomorrow, Monday 2 August at the northern end of the Old Freo Bridge between 8:30am-11:30am. 

The Premier and Minister for Planning will be in attendance launching their own plans to tear down the bridge and replace it with a concrete bridge (and another two bridges for rail located close by). We'd love you to come down to help tell our Government that we don't want their bridge. We want our old bridge and we want it used for cyclists and pedestrians.

We'll be there to answer all your questions, show you some concept plans and salute our beautiful heritage listed bridge. 

Don't worry the visuals are only concepts and there will be heaps of time for your input on what you'd like to see.
