I have received a few negative feedback comments on social media. This, in my opinion, is down to a lack of knowledge. The main argument being that our own private health care companies are free to charge what they like. This is kind of true but they have to keep to the guidelines set out under competitive law. This law should also extend into the veterinary practice world. There will always be fluctuations in prices due to area demand, business rates, cost of premises etc, however some consistency needs to be brought in to stop services capitalising themselves at the expense of the disadvantaged service user
