Avian Flu in Dolphins in Florida!
“2025 is off to a busy start for HSWRI’s Marine Mammal Stranding Team. So far, there have been 8 Indian River Lagoon dolphin strandings including "Boston”, a young male that survived a vessel strike in 2018.
Working together with NOAA Fisheries to further investigate dolphin mortality, we have confirmed at least 2 cases of avian influenza in dolphins. Thank you, partners & volunteers, for making our efforts possible! We are saddened at this recent increase in dolphin strandings, and are hopeful we'll learn more in the coming weeks.” Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute, San Diego, CA
LIFEFORCE STATES Possible Causes:
1. Private/Research Vessels or Marina Level of Sewage Dumping NOT Tertiary Level or higher!
2. FL, WA and BC and other areas permitting industry and tourism dumping?
3. NOAA/Sea World researchers include those who in 2016 caused the deaths of L Pod male and probably transients with infections from tracking darts in WA... Possible that Avian Flu could infect dolphins and others from research methods!
4. Sea World was banned from WA State due to the inhumane orca capture but have been back conducting experiments. Are any experiments exposing and killing with continued threats?
Is there Avian flu in Sea World captives? Possible spread from dumping pool waters?
5. Were the deaths of newborns and other dead orcas tested for Avian Flu and other deadly viruses?
