Outside of Malta, learning Maltese is exceedingly difficult due to limited resources. Many individuals of Maltese descent living abroad express a desire to connect with their roots through the language but lack the necessary tools. Duolingo, a widely popular language learning platform boasting over 300 million users [source: Duolingo], has the potential to make this easier.

Adding a Maltese course on Duolingo could be the ideal solution. Not only would it assist individuals in connecting with their cultural heritage, but it would also play a vital role in preserving this unique language.
