Yaser Said Who Murdered His Daughters in an Honor Killing – Finally Captured!
Words can’t express how excited I am that Yaser Said – the evil scumbag monster who murdered his two beautiful daughters in Texas more than twelve years ago – has finally been caught! So happy! So relieved! So overjoyed. I feel like having a party, and celebrating so much. I have been on Cloud 9 since I heard the news within a few hours of his capture on Wednesday, August 26th, 2020 – just a few weeks ago! Justice took 12 years, but so happy for his daughters Sarah Said and Amina Said that their evil father has been caught!
The murderer killed them - shot them in the back of his taxi cab, just because they wanted freedom, and were too westernized! They didn't want the arranged marriages he was attempting to force on them. He hated that they had boyfriends, and the fact that he hated that they were getting too westernized - well, who's to blame for that? He moved to this country and they were born here, and raised here! What did he expect? I wrote about this in my blog....you can read about it here Yaser Said Who Murdered His Daughters in an Honor Killing - Finally Captured!
You may ask or think why am I mentioning it here? Good question! The reason why I'm mentioning it is I don't want every one to think that Sarah and Amina's deaths were murders - they were honor killings! While honor killings are not honorable at all - they are given this name because families will do everything and anything to protect their families name and reputation. If their girls won't go along with their plans of arranged marriage, and have boyfriends, or do anything at all to bring shame to the family - their own family members will resort to murder to save the so called "honor" of the family. They care more about what the community thinks than they do about their own children, and in many cases, the community actually points to these killings as a warning to their own children as to what happens when children don't listen. We need to spread awareness. It is only if we tell our stories or the stories of those who are voiceless (such as Sarah and Amina), and make forced marriages and child marriages illegal, that we can even begin to stop any future honor killings taking place. If parents finally realize they can't push their children into forced marriages and child marriages because they are illegal, they might just have to change their mind frames and stop the harmful traditions of the past. We all have a part to play in this, and that is to sign all the petitions that we can to end child marriage and forced marriage and be part of the change that is so desperately needed. Let's prevent any honor killings from happening ever again.
