United Against Harmful Practices Zoom Meeting - June 13th, 2020

Hi Everyone,

I hope you're all doing well, and continuing to stay safe.  I believe I forgot to update you on the Zoom meeting that I organized and arranged for June 13, 2020.  It was absolutely incredible, and I am so grateful to have had the support of some amazing women all sign up to be part of this unforgettable experience.  I had Jasvinder Sanghera, the Founder of Karma Nirvana who signed up to be the moderator.  Karma Nirvana was one of the first organizations in the UK set up to support victims of honour based abuse and forced marriage.  For the speakers, I had myself, as well as Fraidy Reiss, the Founder of Unchained At Last, the only organization in the USA dedicated to ending child and forced marriage, Payzee Mahmod, Sara Tasneem, and Dawn Tyree.  What made this presentation incredible is that we are all survivors, and what unifies us is that we are "United Against Harmful Practices" such as child marriage, and forced marriage, and we all share the same mission to spread awareness and end these harmful practices.
