The Atmanirbhar Bharat Cycle Bill  is a policy initiative being choreographed by NAMMA NIMMA CYCLE FOUNDATION  that seeks to promote walking and cycling as sustainable modes of transportation in cities, 

The policy is expected to improve public health by encouraging more physical activity, reduce pollution and congestion on the roads.

We, the undersigned, support the Atmanirbhar Bharat Cycle Bill, a policy initiative in India that seeks to promote walking and cycling as sustainable modes of transportation, while also boosting domestic manufacturing and consumption of bicycles. The Bill focuses on five key pillars:

1. Building Active Mobility Governance - This will ensure that walking and cycling are prioritized in the transportation planning process and will lead to the development of better policies and regulations for active mobility.
2. Providing Active Mobility Justice by building equitable transport - This will ensure that everyone, regardless of their socio-economic background, has access to safe and reliable active mobility options.
3. Active Mobility Infrastructure Service Standards - This will lead to the development of high-quality, safe, and accessible active mobility infrastructure, including footpaths, cycle lanes, and pedestrian crossings.
4. Boosting Active Mobility Economy - While also boosting domestic manufacturing and consumption of bicycles - This will create job opportunities in the active mobility industry and will support the growth of the domestic bicycle manufacturing sector.
5. Active Mobility Research - This will promote research and innovation in the field of active mobility and will help identify new ways to promote walking and cycling as viable modes of transportation. 

Together, these pillars will transform the way we think about and approach active mobility in India, leading to a healthier, more sustainable, and equitable transportation system. We call on the government to prioritize the implementation of the Atmanirbhar Bharat Cycle Bill and to support the growth of the active mobility culture and industry in India.
