On Monday, Free the Flag Campaigner, Laura Thompson spoke to the Senate’s Select Committee on the Aboriginal Flag. Check out the video below.

Like Laura, you too can share your voice to the Select Committee. If you have been impacted by the copyright and its current licensing agreements, we need you to tell this story through a ‘submission’. All you need to do is send an email to aboriginal.flag.sen@aph.gov.au before 5pm on Friday 18th September.

The Public Hearing also heard from WAM Clothing Director’s Ben Wooster and Semele Moore, although they sidestepped answering many of the Senators’ questions. Eventually, Senator Pat Dodson had to ask WAM, "Do you intend to answer any questions?"

You can catch Laura’s opening address here, as she shares her hopes for the Aboriginal Flag and where it should call home in the future.

The Select Committee is due to report on the Inquiry findings on the 13th October, we’ll keep you posted!

You helped to make all this happen by signing this petition and sharing the Free The Flag movement! Thank you for taking up this fight alongside us.

For now, keep using your voice and get those submissions in. Together we can #FreeTheFlag.

Yours in the struggle,

Free the Flag
