I’m so excited to share that the Cobham Splash Pad has now been officially funded by Elmbridge Borough Council as part of the newly approved 2026/2027 council budget. This means the project WILL be going ahead.

The next step is an on-site meeting with councillors and the leisure team to decide the final location and begin planning the design and build.

It’s honestly amazing what an idea, a lot of local support, and quite a bit of pushing can achieve. What started as a conversation about how great it would be to have something like this in Cobham has turned into a real project that the council is now moving forward.

A huge thank you to everyone who signed the petition, shared it with friends, schools and local groups, and helped spread the word. It really did make a difference in showing how much local families would value something like this.

And a particular thank you to Cllr Katerina Lusk and the councillors who have helped champion the idea within the council. They have turned an idea into a funded project incredibly quickly in the scheme of things.

There’s still work to do before our children can be happily running through the water jets, but this is a massive step forward and such great news for Cobham.
