The narrative of 'Ryan's World', a popular YouTube channel, has remained stagnant since its inception in 2015. Ryan Kaji, now a young teenager, started off by doing toy reviews, but the landscape has changed dramatically since then. In spite of this, he is forced to continue making content he does not enjoy. This regrettable situation is enhanced by the fact that the financial benefits from his hard work do not go to him.

Ryan's adolescence is being governed by the corporate greed of his parents who insist on preserving the current format of a channel that was more suitable for a younger child. Their interest lies not in Ryan's personal growth, but in the continued financial gain that his juvenile content provides. Teenagers that age should have the opportunity to explore their passions, and shape their own futures. In Ryan's case, however, his parents are hindering his ability to do so.

We stand for Ryan’s right to make his own decisions—his right to be able to take a break or to evolve his content, following his personal interests. We take a multilayered approach to this issue: not as a call to 'cancel' Ryan, but to let him retire from a profession he was pushed into as a child, or to let him diversify his content and pursue his true passions.

We therefore ask the guardians of 'Ryan’s World' to respect Ryan’s personal interests and give him the freedom to evolve, as well as ensure that the revenue generated by the channel is safeguarded for Ryan's future. We need to send a clear message that Ryan's well-being and happiness matter more than views and profits. Please support our cause, let Ryan flourish and sign our petition.
