Mike Tomlin has been the HC for Steelers for 18 seasons where he had no register a minus .500 season. He won Superbowl, XLIII and lead the team to the XLV and lost it. 

After that, guided Steelers to Playoffs consistently until 2017. Since 2018 the team has only qualified to playoffs 5 times to be obliterated in the Wild Card round, missing that phase 5 times. 

Basically since 2018 he has failed on making a competitive team for NFL Standard, despite having top talents in key positions during all his tenure. The Team statistics and efficiency has been dropping consistently in both sides of the ball, and since 2018, showing no improvement and show players lack of training on fundamentals, and this fact expose them to unnecessary risks and injuries.

During 2025 season, the situation is simple not sustainable. A disaster in both sides of the ball, ranking at the bottom on almost every significant statistic and poor training and lack of efficiency in designing plays and planning games is not only impacting the team's record, also the numbers of all players, fact that will affect them in their immediate future at their professional career in NFL. The most expensive defensive unit in the league, and its recording bad numbers in key areas.

That's why we ask that Art Rooney II and Omar Khan let him go. It's better for everyone as when he hits Open market, even better contracts will be available for him. The sooner the better.
