Year 10, 11, and 12 students at Mckinnon are enduring their most critical years, filled with exams, assessments, and an increased workload. Going into 2025 a new rule was enforced wanting us to change out of our PE uniforms after each session. This adds unnecessary stress and takes away valuable time from our studies and preparation.

Year 7, 8, and 9 students don’t have to follow this rule, so why should we? Senior students should be able to prioritize their academics without being burdened by constant uniform changes. 

Furthermore, Our parents spend a significant amount of money on uniforms, yet we’re now expected to wear them for only two hours a week. This feels wasteful and unnecessary.

We propose a simple solution: allow Year 10, 11, and 12 students to remain in their PE uniforms on the days they have PE.
