By the 2027-2028 school year, the campus of Design and Architecture Senior High School in Miami, Florida, might be demolished to build a luxury shopping mall in its place, only to move the school upwards into the second floor.

For the very place and school that gave the Miami Design District its recognition from the sheer talent, skill, and unexplainable creativity of its students for 30+ years, this is the biggest slap in the face for all future generations of DASH alumni and students. Every student there currently or came in the past feels nothing but love and gratitude for DASH being the school it is, refining hundreds of thousands kids throughout three decades in fine art, fashion, architecture, product design, filmmaking, animation, graphic design, advertising, performance, and so much more.

Not just that but DASH is such a special school for just the people that go there and work here. No school does events and future opportunities like DASH. The Halloween contest, the winter formal, YDSF, field day @ Morningside Park, fashion week, Upcycled, the pep rallies, the film festivals, the parties, the Expo, the field trips, and so much more. Even the lunches here are something worth to note. No one at DASH is unafraid to be expressive of themselves. No one judges each other or tries to rip someone down. There is nothing but love, passion, and kindness in this black, white, and red hallways. So, please sign this petition to try to keep our school alive and well and give us Phantoms a fulfilled future to look forward to.
