Bob and Darkie have been given Notice to Quit Burnfoot Hall on or before 19th April 2017 and Mead Medical Services Ltd refuse to back down or even to seek to reach a compromise. So, Bob and Darkie MUST move from Burnfoot Hall before 19th April. The Group supporting this case accept that it would be irresponsible to arrange a move without first ensuring that there is sufficient funding in place to cover the cost of providing for Bob's inevitably deteriorating care needs. Annual costs of full care run at c £30,000 per year. We ought to prepare a 5 year plan so the overall cost will be around £150,000. People have been amazingly generous and there has been overwhelming support across the board, including from the press and media, all of which is continuing. But time is running short and a major drive is needed. Realistically, the only solution is for The Sun newspaper to feature Bob's story. Unfortunately, The Sun see this as an issue which is only newsworthy in Scotland because Bob's Care Home is just over the border past Gretna Green in Scotland. Although the Scottish Sun have featured the story (which generated over 100,000 signatures over a couple of days) the way forward is for a prominent feature across The Sun network. Please contact The Sun at exclusive@the-sun.co.uk Copying the link https://www.change.org/p/headoffice-meadmedica-co-uk-let-bob-keep-his-dog-bob-87-lives-in-a-care-home-with-his-close-companion-darkie and asking them to take a look at this and to take account of the much wider issues which also apply across the entire private care sector throughout the UK. If The Sun are inundated with requests they might just take the hint, which they have failed to do so far Thanks & Regards Arthur Shuter
