“No records besides two minor incidents?” We’ve got the emails.

After the Department claimed there were no records beyond two minor incidents, I wrote directly to Yarrabah’s Principal and Assistant Principal (a copy of my correspondence is pictured in this update). The school’s own emails tell a very different story.

As Austin’s mother, I have supported him through close to 200 medical appointments and hospital admissions and fought alongside his doctors for his health and, at times, his life. I never imagined I would also have to fight this hard to keep him safe at school.

Austin’s safety, dignity and access to education are not negotiable. The matter is now with Central Office for independent review, and the complete documentary record must finally be addressed.
