Today, women and girls in Afghanistan face severe restrictions on their freedom, education, employment, and participation in public life. Many are unable to attend school, pursue careers, or fully express themselves in society.

While Afghan women and girls are being silenced, we must help ensure their voices are heard. Every woman and girl deserves the right to learn, work, speak freely, and live with dignity and opportunity.

Women and girls should not be confined to their homes or prevented from participating in everyday life. They deserve the same fundamental human rights and freedoms that people around the world seek for themselves and their families.

We call on governments, international organizations, and world leaders to continue advocating for the rights of Afghan women and girls, to support educational and humanitarian initiatives, and to ensure that their voices are not forgotten.

If they cannot speak freely, then we must speak up alongside them.
