Hi all, today I emailed the list of over 550 signatures on this petition to Alderman Leslie Hairston, and copied Sarah Sheehan and Wendy Walker Williams from the Office of Civic Engagement.

I included the themes that emerged in response to the petition, including:

• Safety is a major concern as there is minimal visibility at this intersection.
• A full-scale study is called for, including impact during construction and post completion OPC traffic.
• There is significant interest in less car-centric neighborhood planning.
• The  hope that there will be a public meeting with the Alderman where the proposal can be presented and neighborhood residents and business owners have an opportunity to ask questions and be heard.
