Libérez Loup Bureau

Depuis le 26 juillet, le journaliste indépendant Loup Bureau, 27 ans, est détenu en Turquie. Incarcéré dans une prison à Sirnak, il est suspecté à tort par le gouvernement turc d'"appartenir à une organisation terroriste armée”.

La raison de ce chef d‘inculpation ? Un reportage réalisé par Loup Bureau en 2013, pour TV5 Monde, auprès des combattants kurdes en Syrie (YPG), une organisation considérée comme terroriste par la Turquie.

Selon son avocat, Me Pradel, “la seule raison pour laquelle Loup Bureau a été interpellé, c’est parce qu’il est journaliste”. Il est le troisième journaliste français arrêté en Turquie ces douze derniers mois.

Sa famille, ses amis et ses collègues s’inquiètent de sa mise en détention. Loup Bureau n'a fait qu'exercer son métier de journaliste dans une zone de conflit où la répression envers la presse est de plus en plus violente.

Free Loup Bureau

Since July 26 2017, the independent journalist Loup Bureau, 27, has been detained in Turkey, incarcerated in a prison in Sirnak. He is wrongly suspected by the Turkish government of "belonging to an armed terrorist organization".

The reason for this charge? A report by Loup Bureau in 2013, for TV5 Monde, on the Kurdish fighters in Syria (YPG), an organization considered as terrorist by Turkey.

According to his lawyer, Maître Pradel, "the only reason why Loup Bureau was arrested is because he is a journalist." He is the third French journalist to be arrested in Turkey in the last twelve months.

His family, friends and colleagues are deeply concerned about his detention. Loup Bureau has just been doing his job as a journalist in a conflict zone, where repression against the press is becoming more and more virulent.

Loup Bureau’yu serbest bırakın

27 yaşındaki bağımsız gazeteci Loup Bureau 26 Temmuz’dan beri Türkiye’de tutuklu bulunmakta. Türk hükümeti tarafından silahlı bir terör örgütüne bağlı olmak şüphesiyle Şırnak’taki bir hapishanede tutuluyor.

Peki bu suçlamanın sebebi nedir? Loup Bureau’nun 2013 yılında TV5 Monde kanalı için YPG ile yaptığı bir röportaj tutuklanmasının ana sebebi sayılıyor.

Loup’un avukatı Bayan Pradel’e göre gözaltına alınmasının arkasında yatan tek sebep ise onun bir gazeteci olması. Loup, geçtiğimiz 11 ay içerisinde Türkiye’de tutuklanan üçüncü Fransız gazeteci.

Ailesi, arkadaşları ve meslektaşları Loup’un tutuklu bulunmasından büyük bir endişe duyuyorlar. Loup Bureau, basın özgürlüğüne karşı baskının giderek arttığı bir çatışma bölgesinde gazetecilik mesleğini yapmaktan öteye gitmemiştir.
