It’s been a year and half, but the school has finally realized their error in releasing the updated heyreb logo. Las Vegas came together as a community and didn’t buy any new heyreb gear and UNLV is falling into the hole left in it’s pocketbooks.
The heyreb logo will be dropped altogether as a secondary logo until 2020 when they expect to have a new design done. The school will exclusively use the primary UNLV logo until that time. If we’re lucky UNLV will drop Menzie’s too and we’ll be rid of two ugly products at the same time.
It’s expected that UNLV will have NIKE do a heyreb logo redesign for us when the football team takes up residence in the new stadium. UNLV could have had NIKE do the logo for free in the first place, but later is better than never.
