Thank you for signing the petition. We will be announcing this as a successful petition drive in a press release and in other attention-getting ways in the coming weeks.

It's not too late for you to request that your family and friends sign the petition - it's especially important that we get as many signatures as possible from people who live in Delaware.

The Joint Finance Committee will begin marking up the Governor's Recommended Budget on May 24th. So, if you have some time, you can mention your support for full funding of the McNesby Act in a letter to the editor, to demonstrate even more support for including a significant increase for I/DD services in the state budget.

A Letter to the Editor to The News Journal (on "Our Readers' Views) should be no more than 200 words in length. In the letter, you can offer your opinion of a recent news story - in this case, the state budget. When submitted, you must include your name, home address, and a phone number for verification, which should not be taken to imply publication. Letters to the Editor for The News Journal are restricted to one letter per 45 days per writer. To submit, email editorial@delawareonline.com.

Here are the word limits and submission info for two other important media outlets:

State News (300 word limit) - https://baytobaynews.com/forms/letters/

Cape Gazette: (650 word limit)  - http://www.capegazette.com/column/letters-editor
