I'm writing this because this is something I care about deeply and it won't happen without the support of people like you. Starting a petition isn't something I would normally do, but I was moved to do so because riding side by sides in Tom Green County is ilegal. We have been shut down and forbidden to ride our UTV. I know I'm not alone and together we can make this change happen. Please sign and share!

My Family and I moved to the small town of Christoval Texas 3 years ago. We immediatly fell in love with this little town and it's envirement!! Over the past three years of living here we have witnessed our towns people riding around on Side by Sides all over the place! We've seen them at the school picking up their children, we've seen them at the store, driving throught the river and just casually cruising throught the town. Well the oppurtunity came and we finally bought one for ourselves!! We were so excited!! WERE!!!  We bought this to join in on the fun and to fit in with the rest. Well for a while things were Bliss!! Unfortunatly like they say all good things must come to an end right?! Well it don't have to be!!! 

Here in the last couple of months we've been restricted on riding our side by side around, being told if we get caught out on it one more time we would receive a ticket! Our side by side has been parked and collecting cobwebs for some time now! Let me tell you that is heartbreaking! To look at a very expensive machinery just sitting there unable to ride or enjoy, just going to waste. Yes we could load it on the trailer and take it to a state park or any other place, but if you work every day and raise kids and do every day responsibilities you know it's not possible to do that when ever you want to. When we bought it to ride around this small town and down to the river to the store to check the mail to do whatever right. While we have been told to stop riding OUR side by side, we continuously see other side by side riding around town still , we see them parked up on main street, seems like every one else is allowed but Not us!!!

Well we started getting harrassed by the Game Warden out here and then threatend with a ticket. So we stopped riding. But still continue to see others riding and parked on main street and riding to the store with no consequences, I would hope that there's no favortism or descrimination going around! If you can make a dirt bike or a dune buggy street legal why can't we make our UTV/Side by Sides legal.  I understand Highways  what I don't understand is why we can't commute around a small little town like Christoval. Well if we all get together we can make this change!!
