Legalize Sports Betting Apps Across All U.S. States

Legalize Sports Betting Apps Across All U.S. States
The Issue
I’m a sports bettor living in Florida, and my life revolves around sports betting. I run an online business called Daily Duelers, where I provide sports betting content on social media platforms and offer a monthly service that helps people make smarter picks. Unfortunately, the restrictive laws on sports betting apps in Florida — and several other U.S. states — are severely limiting not only my business and profits but also the livelihoods of many others in this growing industry.
In Florida, for example, online sports betting is monopolized by the Hard Rock Bet app, operated solely by the Seminole Tribe. Other major platforms like FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM — which are widely used and trusted in other states — are still banned. This lack of competition limits consumer choice, stifles innovation, and blocks countless entrepreneurs from participating in the sports betting economy.
And Florida isn’t alone. Other states such as California, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Utah, Idaho, and Hawaii still ban or restrict legal online sports betting entirely — despite overwhelming national support and proven economic benefits elsewhere.
According to the American Gaming Association, over 30 states that have legalized sports betting have generated billions in revenue, created thousands of jobs, and unlocked major economic boosts through taxation and tourism. For example, New Jersey — one of the early adopters — has seen over $750 million in tax revenue since legalizing in 2018.
Legalizing sports betting apps like FanDuel across all remaining states would:
Create a more competitive market
Increase state revenue
Support small businesses and content creators
Give consumers safer, regulated options with responsible gambling tools
I am calling on lawmakers — in Florida and beyond — to push for common-sense legislation that legalizes mobile sports betting platforms nationwide. This is about economic opportunity, personal freedom, and leveling the playing field.

Let’s bring the industry out of the shadows and into the future — together.
