Millions of adults in Ohio are legally allowed to buy cannabis, yet most have nowhere legal to use it. Renters, apartment residents, medical patients, veterans, and people who live in shared housing are forced to hide in cars, smoke outside in the cold, or risk breaking housing rules. Even though the state approved cannabis, the people who rely on it the most are left without a safe and legal place to consume it.

If nothing changes, Ohio will stay stuck in a system that punishes people for using a product the state itself legalized. Ohio will also miss out on jobs, tourism, small-business growth, and the revenue that other states are already benefiting from with cannabis lounges. Other states have already proven that consumption lounges are safe, regulated, and successful. Ohio can either lead this next step or fall behind.
