I am a passionate sports bike enthusiast who, along with many others in our community, face restrictions on using exhausts for high cc motorcycles (600 or above). This is a personal matter to me, as I believe our rights as responsible and passionate riders are being unjustly infringed upon.

Motorcycles over 600cc represent a significant portion of the motorbike community. Not allowing enhancements for these bikes limits expressability and personalization, elements that are key to our culture. In the US, for example, motorcycles with an engine capacity of 601cc to 1200cc accounted for 59.04% of the total number of newly registered motorcycles in 2018 according to Statista.

Improved exhaust systems can not only provide better performance but also remodel the engine sound, which is a key factor of enjoyment for many riders. As responsible riders, we adhere to rules without compromising on the safety of others. Noise-emission limits could be established to balance any potential excess noise.

This petition is not one of discontent, but one of negotiation and balance. We request the authorities to reconsider the ban and work towards a middle ground that can satisfy both bikers and the larger public. I urge you to sign this petition in support of our freedom to ride as we wish.
