When will we stop wasting money?! 
As of today, 39 states have some form of legal cannabis. Every year more and more locations across the country open licensed medical and recreational dispensaries. Polls show that over 70% of the country is in favor of ending the prohibition on THC. Alcohol and Tobacco are not only legal, but we regulate and tax them even though both have been absolutely proven to be many times more harmful than THC. It costs Wisconsin over $10 million per year to pursue and prosecute Cannabis crimes, and over $40,000 every year to keep each person convicted of Marijuana crimes behind bars. Truthfully, the Cannabis plant has so very many benefits. Medicinally, it has been proven to help treat many ailments, including seizures in children and pain and nausea in seniors.  
Why would you not help our children and elderly? 
 Growing Cannabis can only HELP the environment and will be a great crop for farmers to alternate in the fields; not to mention a milder, recreational alternative to Alcohol and Tobacco. Our State is surrounded by other states that have chosen to reap huge financial benefits from legalizing Cannabis. Last year, Michigan, Illinois, and Minnesota made over a combined $500 Million in tax revenue for their states. Illinois, our neighbor to the south, took in over $500 million in gross Cannabis sales in their first year of sales.  
WE COULD DO THE SAME!!  
Colorado makes over $400 million/yr in tax revenue from Cannabis. Oregon makes over $200 million/yr and California makes over $1 BILLION EVERY YEAR!  
WASHINGTON D.C. , where our CAPITOL and PRESIDENT are located, has COMPLETELY LEGALIZED CANNABIS! Canada to the north and Mexico to the south, have made the choice to legalize. Statistics show police departments in states that have legalized have been able to use the valuable man hours and money, formerly spent pursuing and prosecuting Cannabis crimes, to concentrate on drugs like Fentanyl and Opioids that are invading our schools and killing our children.  
STOP WASTING OUR MONEY!!  
Soon public opinion will prevail, and Cannabis will be legal in every state.  
Will we be the last state to reap the benefits from this?
