Legal equality of nature and animals to end climate change and species extinction

Legal equality of nature and animals to end climate change and species extinction
The Issue
Why it works!
If industry and people are are punished according to human criminal law the business of exploiting nature is no longer worthwhile. Worldwide, the penalties will deter all global polluters from destroying or even damaging nature. Damage and loss are so high due to the increased criminalization to a capital crime that the business of exploiting nature is no longer worthwhile.
Then the extinction of species will stop on its own. Forests, oceans and ecosystems are recovering, populations are increasing
Start today!
60% of all animal species have been wiped out and 1 million are on the verge. Climate change is progressing inexorably. These facts threaten human existence. But even though everyone knows that, despite all the protestations of those involved to change something, animal and plant species continue to die at a rate 100 times that of the last 10 million years. We are on course for a 3.5°C temperature rise this century. This would render large parts of the planet uninhabitable and lead to a mass extinction.
Before I explain my intentions to you in more detail, I would like to briefly introduce myself to tell my story.
1. ABOUT MY PERSON
I am 54 years old and have suffered from incurable, progressive Duchenne muscular dystrophy since my earliest childhood. In the meantime, the disease has progressed so far that I have to be cared for around the clock (care level 5) and am artificially ventilated with a ventilator the whole time.

Suffering, illness, death and inner despair accompanied me for many decades of my life. I was angry, lonely and bitter as my body decayed before my eyes. As a boy and a young man, it was incomprehensible to me that I of all people, who had never harmed anyone, should be punished by fate in such a way. Due to my powerlessness and endless anger I lost my empathy and with it all my friends. I became increasingly lonely, became even sadder and ended up in agony and deep depression. How often was I on the ground, was done with the world and didn't know how to continue.
Then something very strange happened. Despite all the blows of fate, I got up again and again. Nothing could break me. After every low point, I managed to keep going, keep fighting. I never gave up. I became a titan conquering injustice and suffering stronger than fate. This not only led to me overcoming resignation and bitterness, but on the contrary to a very special, indeed amazing understanding of life and all living beings in this world. I've freed myself from my inner demons over the course of over four decades. My inner liberation released enormous energy, which I now use for the benefit of humanity and nature.
I accomplished a Herculean task that most people would have failed to do. That's why I see myself in a position to save the world from destruction. Because first I saved myself, now I'm saving the world.
2. THE PROBLEM - THE FACTS
- We are on course for an average temperature increase of 3.5°C this century.
- On land, temperatures will rise by 5°C - 10°C in 50 years, depending on the region. This would make large parts of the planet uninhabitable and lead to a mass extinction.
- The Paris climate agreement has failed. It can already be said that it will clearly miss its 2030 targets
- In order to reach the 1.5 °C target, efforts would have to be quintupled - and that in less
- UNREALISTIC - -
CO2 emissions would have to be halved within 7 years
- UNREALISTIC - -
The total annual amount of greenhouse gases would have to fall by 35 billion tons within 7 years in order to still reach the 1.5 °C target
- UNREALISTIC -
- In order to reach the 1.5 °C target, efforts would have to be quintupled - and that in less

- 1 million animal and plant species are on the brink of extinction
- Humans have severely altered 75% of the land mass and 66% of the oceans, wiping out much of the plant, animal and ecosystem.
- 60% of all animal species have been wiped out in the last 50 years
- There are currently 8 million animal and plant species on earth, 1 million of which are threatened with extinction in the next few decades
- Tens to Hundreds of Times: The extent to which the current rate of global species extinction is greater than the average for the past 10 million years, and the rate is accelerating
- >500,000 (+/-9%): Percentage of the world's estimated 5.9 million terrestrial species with insufficient habitat for long-term survival without habitat restoration
- >40%: Critically endangered amphibian species
- Just under 33%: reef-building corals, sharks and shark relatives and >33% endangered marine mammals
- 25%: average proportion of endangered species of terrestrial, freshwater and marine vertebrates, invertebrates and plant groups that have been adequately studied
- At least 680: Vertebrate species driven to extinction by human activity since the 16th century
- +/-10%: preliminary estimate of the proportion of insect species threatened with extinction
- >20%: Decline in mean abundance of native species in most major terrestrial biomes, mainly since 1900
- +/-560 (+/-10%): domesticated mammal breeds were extinct by 2016, with at least 1,000 others under threat
- 3.5%: extinct domesticated bird species by 2016
- 70%: Increase in the number of invasive alien species since 1970 in 21 countries with detailed records
- 30%: Reduction in the global integrity of terrestrial habitats due to habitat loss and degradation
- 47%: Percentage of terrestrial flightless mammals and 23% threatened birds whose distribution may already have been negatively impacted by climate change
- >6: Species of ungulates (hoofed mammals) would probably be extinct today without conservation efforts, or survive only in captivity
- >85%: of the 1700 existing wetlands were lost by 2000 – wetland loss is currently three times faster than forest loss in percentage terms.

3. THE SOLUTION
QUESTION: Why do people hunt animals, destroy their natural habitat, poison forests, rivers and atmosphere? For what reasons do we continue to destroy nature and thus ourselves - against better knowledge and despite all assurances? How could such a paradox arise?

Answer: People consider themselves more valuable than animals and nature. That is why humanity places itself above nature, so that a human life counts more than that of a cat or a dog. People put their interests and needs above those of animals and nature. That is why he sees himself as right to exploit nature and pays no heed to the consequences this has for animals, plants, insects, trees, the sea and the atmosphere.
QUESTION: How can this problem be solved?
Answer: Through the legal equality of nature with humans. Animals, plants, sea, atmosphere and all ecosystems are given personal rights, civil rights and human rights.
QUESTION: How is this supposed to work in practice? Should animals then vote or drive the bus? How does that work?

Answer: Pets or farm animals are given the status of 3-year-old infants. The owners get the status as their parents. This gives animals the protection of their person. but cannot vote, nor are they legally competent, nor are they subject to compulsory education. The habitat of all non-domesticated animals or ecological systems, wild animals, forests, floodplains, etc., must not be entered by humans to a large extent, neither on land, on water nor in the air.
QUESTION: What's the point?
Answer: All environmental crimes, all crimes against animals and nature are punished according to human criminal law, since equality before the law prevails.
For the murder of a cat or a dog, the perpetrator faces a life sentence, whereas today he gets a maximum of 2 1/2 years. This level of punishment is almost never exhausted in judicial practice, so that animal murderers usually get away with fines and suspended sentences. Since this does not act as a deterrent and the offender does not learn anything because he gets away with a slap on the wrist, the risk of repetition is high. The deterrent of life imprisonment will discourage most people from killing animals because they do not risk losing their freedom, families, friends and jobs to do so.
If industrial companies kill thousands of fish by discharging toxic sewage, they would be charged with mass murder and every board member could face decades in prison. Believe me, no major corporation will ever again dump even 1 drop of sewage sludge in a body of water.
The same applies to timber and construction companies that illegally cut down thousands of trees in rainforests or wantonly destroy them by slash and burn. Hardly any worker will be willing to clear trees in forests if he faces life imprisonment or even the death penalty. No salary in the world will outweigh it. The companies could, of course, make their workers compliant with large bribes, but in the long run their business becomes unprofitable and the corporations stop deforestation. Worldwide, the penalties will deter all global environmental polluters from destroying or even just damaging nature.

The damage and loss are so high due to the increased criminalization to a capital crime that the business of exploiting nature is no longer worthwhile. And when the business of exploitation is no longer worthwhile, nobody will do it anymore.
Then the extinction of species will stop on its own. Forests, oceans and ecosystems are recovering, populations are increasing. Climate change will be drastically reduced, as the decline in industry would reduce CO2 emissions and the use of CO2 will be much more conscious and careful.
What other advantages does equality have?
- With a legal stroke of the pen, the problem would be solved immediately without having to pay hundreds of billions.
- Since the law applies to all areas, a separate ordinance does not have to be issued for each individual animal and plant species, each ecosystem and each specific area
- The state is obliged to protect nature from harm with the same manpower as humans
- The slaughter of animals is banned in one fell swoop
- Animal experiments are prohibited
- Pet trade is prohibited
4. ACT IMMEDIATELY
Please sign the petition, it took me almost 5 years to find the saving solution. The idea is simple and would save us all and the whole planet - give us a future!
We have to act today as if the worst consequences of the climate catastrophe have already happened and act accordingly so that they don't really happen tomorrow and we can't do anything more.
Animals are sentient and social beings like us humans. Every death, every family loss creates the same sadness and despair - but they can't express it. The poor animals suffer so. Please help her put her out of this nightmare.

Our earth needs us. We need the earth. Time is running out.
This petition is our chance for a vision of the earth, a green and fair world for all living beings. Please sign everyone and spread this petition of hope around the world. I already had no hope in my life. I was about to give up. But I've learned to never give up, to believe in goodness and to keep fighting. If I can do it all by myself, then everyone can do it together!
I thank you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
