Marcelo Bielsa has changed the fortunes of Leeds United Football Club and is currently on course to return the club to the Premier League for the first time in almost 20 years.

But this petition isn't about football.  This petition is about honouring a beautiful and humble man that has restored pride, honour, valour and belief to the residents of Leeds.

His impact upon the city and residents of Leeds is immeasurable. He has made the citizens of our wonderful city feel pride once again. He has made us all kinder, thoughtful and appreciative.

It is well documented that Marcelo Bielsa is a humble man. There are multiple articles online documenting his life long obsession with happiness. I think awarding Marcelo Bielsa the freedom of the city will be an amazing way to show him how much happiness he has brought to Leeds and how much he is loved.

It is quite possible that Marcelo Bielsa may leave Leeds United in the summer. I think it would be criminal, shameful and a dark day for our city if we allow him to leave with out recognising his contribution to our city and it's residents.

In short Marcelo Bielsa has taught Leeds how to love, have pride and believe. Whether Leeds United are promoted or not this year I feel that it is incredibly important for the city to recognise the change he has made in the city, it's people and how much we truly love and appreciate him.
