The Lee County Alabama Commissioners Move Forward With Forcing Local Small Business Out!

On Tuesday October 5, 2021 the Lee County Commissioners gave us a deadline until October 15, 2021 to submit to them requested documentation for their consideration. My company ViroTek Services and Mr. Chad Anderson's company Anderson Trash Removal submitted the necessary information before the October 15, 2021 deadline. The Lee County Commission, Alabama held their regularly scheduled meeting last night on Monday November 8, 2021 and the solid waste transition to Arrow Disposal Services was once again on the agenda.
The Commission posted 2 separate videos regarding last nights meeting on their Facebook page Lee County Commission, Alabama but you can click this link https://leecoal.civicclerk.com/Web/Mobile/MobileVideo.aspx?id=1233 to the official Commissioners website page which you will see the full meeting that was 31:44 minutes long but, please start video at 1:40 and end video at 6:32 to hear the solid waste discussion.
After local waste companies submit all requested information members of the Commission still voted 3-1 which they have moved forward with the signing of the contract and allows Arrow Disposal Services to become the garbage provider for 17,000 + Lee County citizens. This means those of you in the County who currently DOES NOT have curbside garbage pickup services, starting January 1, 2022 Arrow Disposal Services will be issuing out trash cans in order to meet the March 1, 2022 deadline and they would be the company servicing you and your family.
In closing,
I would yet again like to acknowledged and thank Commissioner Richard Legrand for showing courage, support, morality and being the only Lee County Commissioner to fight for us local waste haulers who have been providing curbside pickup services for 8+ years. My hat off to you sir!
