Let idyref2 happen, but to win must be a majority of 75%

The Issue

The SNPs are pushing for a second Indyref. The UK government are currently preventing it. I say let the people of Scotland have their say. However let us learn from the mistakes of Brexit. Whichever side of Brexit you were on we can all see the damage a simple majority caused. It split the country and caused 3 years of deadlock and now we have the UK held together by pain not cooperation.

I am calling on the Scottish Parliament and the UK parliament to debate the issue once again and to come to the realisation that a simple majority on a issue as large as independence is not the way forward. If 49.9% of the country ‘lose’ it is not going to create harmony but disharmony.

So I say let us have another referendum in Scotland, let both sides fight their corners but enshrine in law both in Scotland and Westminster that any referendum must be won by 75%. Sign the petition so that our governments hear our voices and that we want to have a country that is united in their views. Sign the petition whether you are for or against Independence because you want a stronger Scotland. Sign the petition to show the world that we stand strong together in Scotland regardless of the outcome of a referendum.
