Congratulations to Meagan Scanlon on becoming our new Minister for the Environment and the Great Barrier Reef 2020.

We also congratulate Annastacia Palaszczuk and the Labor Government for being re-elected along with Bruce Saunders for retaining the Maryborough seat, Adrian Tantari for winning Hervey Bay and Tom Smith for winning Bundaberg. 

A lot of recreational fishers and those who care for our Great Sandy Marine Park which extends from Baffle Creek in the North to Tin Can Bay in the South backed Labor again at this election as recreational fishing plays a vital role across the Wide Bay and Fraser Coast both socially and economically.

We look forward to working with Meagan Scanlon and her department towards completing the full term review of the Great Sandy Marine Park as soon as possible.
