UNITED MAKES US STRONGER!!!

I have heard back from a few MHAs. Two from opposing parties who are not voting for this budget. However, our goal is to get our Liberal MHAs to go against the budget. As usual they seem to be brainwashed into thinking the "leader" knows best! Which we all know isn't the case. It's a governing party to make collective decisions in the BEST INTEREST of OUR PROVINCE!! This isn't happening. This is what I have shared on my Facebook wall and posted as a comment to Christopher Mitchelmore's post regarding his views of the budget. "Change happens because we make it happen!!! And allowing our government to make the decisions needed in this time of financial distress is outrageous!!! They are there as a voice for us. That does not make them experts in the economy! Before this budget was even started they should have called in experts to see what kind of direction our province could take. I would be more open to accepting a budget that had direction and promise. But this budget just "keeps them in good borrowing standing!" GREAT!!!! But WHERE are your borrowing LEADING us? If you need to borrow right now, it should be with a strong business plan!!! If you created a vision for this province in terms of a long sustainable industry, maybe your borrowing status wouldn't be at the point of critical. But we have NOT focused on the ONE sustainable industry this province has in YEARS! TOURISM! The people in all our small communities could be flourishing! They could be giving so much back to our province if you had guided the way and kept investing in US! Conche and Twillingate always comes to mind when I think of tourism and a strong willed attitude to keep our history alive! And I know for a fact that Conche fights EVERY year to get funds to help with their roads!!! And still to no avail! And these are only two examples. There are many more! I have a friend in Trepassy who is a massage therapist and has a small business. Another great asset to a small rural area with regards to tourist! I am tired of our Provincial Governement SHOVING us in a direction that I would guess the higher percentage of residents do not want to take. They remind me of the Red Geeen show! Always fixing stuff with duct tape!! Come ON! Let's OPEN our mouths and TELL Canada that we WANT different from where OUR government continues to lead!!! Just imagine how prosperous our province could be if all our small communities were fending for themselves! They would have money to spend in different parts of the island instead of being forced out, called a burden, and forgotten! Change needs to happen NOW!!! And if this is what you want, PLEASE stand up and shout with me!!!!" Please Share this Petition!! Call our MHAs and let them know you want to see Newfoundland and Labrador with a CLEAR vision!!!! Let's make history by telling them what WE want out of this budget! The big projects that were suppose to "make us rich" are doing nothing for us! Tourism can bring money in overnight! And maybe someone else has an idea of a sustainable industry for our province to promote in all parts! Tell them you want to see progress in a direction that will last. Our borrowing power wouldn't be in question if they didn't keep messing with which industry we are going to support!!! We can not go back in time. BUT we can CHANGE the future!!!
