Le gouvernement suisse doit immédiatement venir en aide à l’UNRWA !

Pas de punition collective supplémentaire pour les hommes, femmes et enfants sous les bombes à Gaza ! 

Le 26 janvier la Cour internationale de justice, premier organe judicaire de l’ONU, a ordonné au gouvernement d’Israël d’empêcher tout acte de génocide contre le peuple palestinien dans la bande de Gaza. Le jour même, le gouvernement des Etats-Unis, suivi de près par l’Allemagne, le Canada, les Pays-Bas et d’autres, a annoncé l’arrêt du financement de l’UNRWA, la principale agence onusienne qui vient à l’aide de la population de Gaza. Le prétexte pour cette punition collective est l’accusation faite par Israël contre douze employés de l’agence d’avoir participé, sous une forme ou une autre, aux attaques meurtrières du 7 octobre dernier, employés déjà licenciés par l’UNRWA qui a ouvert une enquête. 

Couper les moyens à l’UNRWA dans cette situation de catastrophe humanitaire à Gaza est criminel. Deux millions d’enfants, de femmes et d’hommes dépendent de l’UNRWA pour leur survie quotidienne. Avec 20 millions de francs, la Suisse est parmi les dix premiers financiers de l’UNRWA, bien que sa participation ne représente pas la moitié de celle de la Suède. Malgré l’urgence humanitaire, le gouvernement suisse n’a encore versé aucune contribution pour cette année et dit vouloir attendre. Au Conseil national, l’UDC, le PLR et le Centre se battent pour couper toute aide financière à l’UNRWA, reprenant littéralement l’argumentaire du gouvernement israélien. 

La population palestinienne, bombardée systématiquement, qui est en train de mourir de faim et de manque de soins ne peut pas attendre ! Berne doit immédiatement verser sa contribution à l’UNRWA ! 

Le gouvernement suisse doit s’engager pour un cessez-le-feu à Gaza !

PETITION ZUR UNTERSTÜTZUNG DER UNRWA 

DIE SCHWEIZER REGIERUNG MUSS DER UNRWA SOFORT HELFEN! 

KEINE ZUSÄTZLICHE KOLLEKTIVSTRAFE FÜR DIE MENSCHEN UNTER DEN BOMBEN IN GAZA! 

Am 26. Januar wies der Internationale Gerichtshof, das erste Rechtsprechungsorgan der Vereinten Nationen, die Regierung Israels an, jeden Akt des Völkermords gegen das palästinensische Volk im Gazastreifen zu verhindern. Am selben Tag kündigte die Regierung der Vereinigten Staaten, dicht gefolgt von Deutschland, Kanada, den Niederlanden und anderen, die Einstellung der Finanzierung der UNRWA an, der wichtigsten UN-Organisation, die die Bevölkerung im Gazastreifen unterstützt. Der Vorwand für diese Kollektivstrafe ist die Beschuldigung Israels gegen zwölf Mitarbeiter der Agentur, in irgendeiner Form an den tödlichen Angriffen vom 7. Oktober beteiligt gewesen zu sein; diese Mitarbeiter wurden bereits von der UNRWA entlassen, die eine Untersuchung eingeleitet hat. 

Es ist kriminell, dem UNRWA in dieser Situation der humanitären Katastrophe in Gaza die Mittel zu entziehen. Zwei Millionen Kinder und Erwachsene sind für ihr tägliches Überleben auf die UNRWA angewiesen. Mit 20 Millionen Franken gehört die Schweiz zu den zehn größten Finanziers des UNRWA, obwohl ihr Anteil nicht einmal die Hälfte des schwedischen Anteils beträgt. Trotz der humanitären Notlage hat die Schweizer Regierung noch keinen Beitrag für dieses Jahr geleistet und sagt, sie wolle abwarten. Im Nationalrat kämpfen die SVP, die FDP und die Mitte dafür, dem UNRWA jegliche finanzielle Unterstützung zu kürzen, wobei sie die Argumentation der israelischen Regierung wörtlich übernehmen. 

Die palästinensische Bevölkerung, die systematisch bombardiert wird und an Hunger und mangelnder medizinischer Versorgung stirbt, kann nicht warten! 
- Bern muss seinen Beitrag an die UNRWA sofort überweisen!
- Die Schweizer Regierung muss sich für einen Waffenstillstand in Gaza einsetzen!

THE SWISS GOVERNMENT MUST IMMEDIATELY COME TO THE AID OF UNRWA! 

NO FURTHER COLLECTIVE PUNISHMENT FOR THE MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN UNDER THE BOMBS IN GAZA! 

On January 26, the International Court of Justice, the UN's highest judicial body, ordered the Israeli government to prevent any act of genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. On the same day, the US government, closely followed by Germany, Canada, the Netherlands and others, announced that it would stop funding UNRWA, the main UN agency providing aid to the people of Gaza. The pretext for this collective punishment is the accusation made by Israel against twelve of the agency's employees of having participated, in one form or another, in the murderous attacks of October 7, employees who have already been dismissed by UNRWA, which has opened an investigation. 

It is criminal to cut UNRWA's resources at a time of humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. Two million children, women and men depend on UNRWA for their daily survival. With CHF 20 million, Switzerland is one of the top ten financiers of UNRWA, although its contribution is less than half that of Sweden. Despite the humanitarian emergency, the Swiss government has not yet made any contribution for this year, and says it wants to wait. In the National Council, the SVP, PLR and Centre parties are fighting to cut off all financial aid to UNRWA, literally echoing the arguments of the Israeli government. 

The Palestinian population, systematically bombarded and dying of hunger and lack of health care, cannot wait! 
- Berne must immediately pay its contribution to UNRWA!
- The Swiss government must commit to a ceasefire in Gaza!
