On the eve of Noah and Joshua's 3rd birthday I once again wanted to thank everyone for their continued support. I have received correspondence from The Minister of State for Disability Issues offering assistance in addressing these concerns and I am hopeful (if not naïve) that he may follow through. I had plenty of questions for him in relation to the Autism Spectrum Disorder Bill 2017 and why it does not appear to be a priority for Simon Harris. I have read and reread this wonderful strategy and feel nothing but pure ANGER at why it has been left dormant for so long, according to oireachtas.ie this Bill has remained before Dail Eireann in it's second stage since 12th of July 2017!!! So much of this past year has me utterly confused everyday I am humbly learning about everything and mostly about my sons and what I need to do just to communicate with them. Since I have started this petition so many wonderful mothers have offered their advice and I am forever thankful. My wish for the boys birthday tomorrow is that they will be able to enjoy every minute of their special day and because I am greedy my wish for my birthday in two weeks time is that I will hear them call me Mammy Mommy or Mama just once this coming year.
