Launch an investigation into the multiple assaults against women in Rock City

The Issue

On Thursday 17th March I was assaulted in Rock City, Nottingham. The way they dealt with this incident was absolutely shocking and I want to spread awareness so that nobody has to experience what i went through. The staff at Rock City are untrained and uncoordinated and don’t know anything about keeping people safe or aiding. After being innocently assaulted I was made to feel as if I had done something wrong, when in fact I was a victim.

Since expressing my worries on social media I have come across many women who have experienced the same mistreatment. I now feel it is my duty as a woman to stand up for myself and other victims who have gone through the same without compensation or even an apology from the nightclub.

I feel this club is not doing enough to protect its customers and after my own experience i was made to feel as if they were only bothered about their public image rather than my safety and well-being. This is not okay. we as women deserve to feel safe when we go out, and have every right to enjoy ourselves. But this is happening more and more with absolutely nothing being done about it. I want to encourage not just rock city but all nightclubs to do better.

Many of you will have heard about the injection spiking incidents that were happening all over the country. after these events we were promised by our government that they would take action, but i see no change? women should not have to think about what club they need to go to to have the least chance of being assaulted.

If you want to support this cause please sign this petition and share with your friends and family. There is clearly an ongoing issue at Rock City that is not being addressed by their staff, and we as women have every right to boycott them until they step up and provide us with explanations, compensation and better protection for not only women but all customers attending.

Thank you for your support.
