The coronavirus impact has been far and wide reaching, the real estate industry while being a pivotal part of the economic industry it is often not at the forefront. Real estate transaction in Maryland must not come to a halt and we are asking the Governor and the Maryland General Assembly to act immediately to allow Maryland Licensed Title Producers to conduct Electronic settlements. If the notary isn't licensed then the transaction must be witnessed by a Title Producer effectively immediately.
