As many of you are now aware, Java EE 8 progress remains solid and it looks like we can expect the final release in the next few months. As a result, we decided this is a good time to update our charter/website to focus more on Java EE evangelism and promoting active JCP participation. Please do check out the updated content. Rest assured, however, that we continue to monitor both Java EE 8, Java EE 9 and MicroProfile progress. We are also encouraging vendors to rapidly adopt Java EE 8. While it is still not time yet to formally close this petition and declare victory, we plan to do so in celebration of the final Java EE 8 release. You have been a big part of making any of this happen. Thanks very much for your continued support. At this time, we still kindly ask you to help the petition gather more steam.
