Landlady response - any advice welcome!

Dear Ali

Apologies, she is putting it on the market for let not sale at a higher rental price.

The law has not changed as yet and the landlord does not have to give a reason for serving a s21 notice. unfortunately I am unable to forward your email to the landlord as per her request and she has a firm response that she is not revoking any notice.

Unfortunately the landlord does not have to provide a reason for serving a s21 notice and is certain of her decision. The tenant act of 2019 refers only to tenant fees and none have been charged to yourself.

Please be advised as explained that a reason does not have to be given for notice and a landlord does not have to offer the property to yourself at the higher price.

I am unsure if she will want viewings prior to your end of tenancy so it may be a concern we have to cross when we come to it but please be advised it is a clause in your tenancy to allow access for these. I must also advise you would still be liable for rent should you leave earlier and legal proceeding could commence against you if they are not. This would be the landlords discretion.

I’m really sorry but the decision is final.
