Dear Friends,

Last year I asked you to sign a petition for mum, Melanie Leahy whose son Matthew Leahy died within 7 days of entering the mental health system. She was calling for a public inquiry into her sons death.
Thanks to all your help she obtained 105,580 signatures and got her case to debate November 2020.

During the delay, other families and whistleblowers came forward to join with Melanie.

The government have announced a non statutory inquiry into Melanie’s sons death, but she says this will not be enough.

In Melanie’s words,…..

“62 failed families have now joined me in my campaign. Including those who have lost loved ones, those who have survived the system, those abused, and whistleblowers.
United we cannot possibly just allow a cover up of so much damming evidence we have uncovered. “

“We have United in our call for a Statutory Public Inquiry and have a second petition. “
