The ‘Oval Triangle’ road closures are impacting heavily on surrounding residents by forcing the decanted traffic onto neighbouring streets. This scheme is not solving a problem but creating greater ones for the surrounding local area. It is near impossible to access Wandsworth Road from the Clapham Road as every connecting road is now no access. The proposal was not made available to many local residents prior to its implementation and no consideration has been made to the affect this will have on the residents outside of the Oval Triangle. We can all appreciate and desire the benefits of living in a ‘low traffic zone’ but as we are residents in a major city we are intelligent enough to realise that is not a feasible scenario.
