We all have a part to play in protecting the rural areas from industrial uses.  A community member shares below why she fights to keep the asphalt plant off of SR 169.

Help protect the rural area and the Cedar River with a contribution today: https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/savecedarriver (use this link and not the change.org donation link.)

“I moved into the Cedar River Valley 34 years ago. We would go down to the Cedar River and watch the fish swim up the river. It was the most fascinating thing I had ever seen. Being from Texas, the only fish I ever fished for was in a lake. Watching these Fly Fisherman, was something truly unlike anything I had ever seen. Like a graceful dance with a string. Amazing, up comes a fish. This valley was pristine and quiet. I know it will never be like the old days. I do know if we do nothing to protect it we are to blame for neglecting to get involved. Clean it up. Make a difference.  That is why I choose to Save the Cedar River. The Salmon are depending on us.  Thank You for your Support. Tammera Widell  #SavetheCedarRiver  #NoAsphalt169”

A small contribution today will make a BIG difference for tomorrow. https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/savecedarriver
