The HOA Board at Lakeridge is planning to kill the seven ducks and two geese that call Lakeridge home. Despite calls to create long term solutions and offers to both pay to have the ducks transported to a sanctuary and to remove eggs daily to maintain the population size as is, both are effective and humane ways to address unwanted ducks, the Board insists they be killed.  

Please sign the petition to show your support for the humane treatment of all animals and to demand the Board act in a responsible manner.  There is no proof that this small number of ducks is causing damage to the lake and others have agreed to pay for the ducks to be relocated it is fiscally irresponsible and cruel for the board to not consider these alternatives. 

We as homeowners are demanding that a long term plan for the health of the lake be drawn up prior to the killing of anymore animals.  The plan must include the number of water fowl that can safely call Lakeridge home, how any overcrowding will be dealt with, a comprehensive plan to educate the community about the consequences of feeding the wildlife, a water quality testing program and a budget that reflects what needs to be done to maintain the lake.
