LCVOR urges you all to stay safe during the crisis.   We realize that most of you have hunkered down and are taking care of your family. 

We haven't forgotten that there is  Confederate Monument heading towards Lake County and if we stop, it will likely arrive.  So we have no choice but to continue our work.  The newest thing we've learned is that the Lake County Historical Society and County Commission have been lying about the Legislative requirements for displaying the statue.  They have told various citizens groups that the statue "HAS" to come to Lake County to satisfy the requirements.  This is simply not true.    The requirements would easily allow the statue to be placed at the Olustee Battlefield State Park or Florida Museum of History Civil War Hall in Tallahassee.
