AN OPEN LETTER TO LASPO-SUG PRESIDENT 21/22 ACADEMIC SESSION.
His Excellency,
Comrade Balogun Aderemi Abdmuqaddim,
Grand Commander-in-Chief of LASPO Aluta Forces,
SUG President, Lagos State Polytechnic.
5th February 2022.
RE : PAYMENT OF ACCEPTANCE FEE
Greetings to you in the name of Aluta, the mother of all struggles. Mr President, we want to express our disappointment and dissatisfaction that you could not fulfill the first task your students ensure into your disposal, we've been nothing but very loyal to your government by heeding to your words to trust you and your government but you've failed us thereafter.
Mr President sir, we are still struggling to pay up exorbitant accommodation fees, we have self-sponsored students, some of us are orphans who wants to have a bite of an educated life, majority of us have parents that are salary earners and we can’t get a dime from them except it is month end, we have traders as parents and the economy is not favourable yet the school is not considerate.. We've counted on you as our leader to help us talk to the school authorities… that they should remove the increament in school fee.
Hope you haven’t forgotten the promises you made and other promises made by your executives? Hope you've not forgotten the oath you swore? Need us remind you that the goal of the SUG is to protect the interest of the students.
Mr President Sir, we direct this open-letter to you because ‘to whom much is given much is expected’... what do you want your regime to be remembered for?
We rest the pen here…
Yours in unionism,
ACTIVIST PEN
