The signatures on this petition have reached 300 and are rising steadily. I thank each and every one of you for your support. Angela Eagle intends to make a formal announcement of her leadership challenge tomorrow, Monday 11th July 2016. It is very important that every potential voter in that election has the opportunity to see, in black and white, that she is prepared to use an excuse for this challenge upon which she contradicted herself a fortnight earlier. That the majority of the Parliamentary Labour Party has never accepted the leadership of Jeremy Corbyn, and is prepared to act in concert to oust him, using mass resignations, refusals to serve and legal means to deny him a place on a further ballot has been known even before his landslide election victory. Aspects of this have been reported, for example, on politics.co.uk in August 2015; in The Times in November 2015; on the website of Portland Communications in January 2016; in Business Insider in March 2016; and in The Telegraph two weeks before the “coup” happened, among other sources. Jeremy Corbyn's alleged poor performance over Europe was used as what the media have called a “trigger” to set in motion a long pre-planned and co-ordinated sequence of events. Even if Angela Eagle was not herself a participant in such planning – which is doubtful – it is not credible that she was not aware of it and she is using it to attempt to deny the Labour Party electorate their clear and unequivocal choice less than a year ago. Her behaviour is so dishonourable that no-one should vote for her. Please share as widely as you can so that voters have the opportunity to assess this for themselves.
