It occurred to me that while LA County is euthanizing dogs daily, we have ENTIRE TEAMS of people working together in Texas to rescue stranded and abandoned animals. I find that ironic in that we have one group of people FIGHTING like hell, FIGHTING Mother Nature, to SAVE animals and we have another group of people who condemn and kill animals in the shelters on a daily basis. It's kind of hard to wrap my head around that. This should prove to those in LA County that people value the lives of these animals. EVERY animal deserves that same consideration. These people are the human angels on earth - risking their own lives, giving their own time, to SAVE AN ANIMAL! We seriously need to fight harder to save shelter animals. We need change. We need homes for so many displaced animals. Be sure to remember The Humane Society, ASPCA, and your local shelters. Many shelters from around the US are taking in animals who are now homeless, who have lost everything and everyone.
